County Arms

Situated on the outskirts of Cornwall’s only city, Truro is the ideal stop-off for those looking to be in close proximity to family this Christmas season – without having to crash on the sofa! Wake to a festive breakfast, included in your room rate, before heading to your relatives for Christmas lunch. Or, want to avoid the arguments of how best to cook the turkey all together? We’ll be putting on a delicious feast, complete with all the trimmings. Enjoy a glass of bubbly or two, don your best Christmas jumper and leave the rest to our elves.   

Overlooking swathes of the Cornish countryside, the County Arms can also serve as the ideal launchpad for your Christmas Day walk. Work up an appetite before relaxing by the fire, watching the night draw in, with a perfectly poured pint of Tribute to warm you through. 

Rashleigh Arms

The picturesque harbour of Charlestown couldn’t be a more scenic backdrop to celebrate Christmas. While we can’t promise snow, you’ll find stunning coastal surroundings to explore away from the summer crowds. Feeling brave? Why not join the annual Christmas day sea swim before returning to our cosy rooms to snuggle up?

With this ‘room at the inn’ offer, you can opt to join us for Christmas lunch to completely eliminate the stress of the day or join your loved ones in the evening before retreating back into plush pillows.

Old Custom House

Holding prime position on Padstow’s south quay, the Old Custom House is a popular destination year-round. At Christmas, however, the town becomes particularly magical with twinkling lights adorning the harbour. Wander through the maze of streets, browsing the independent boutiques for a little last-minute shopping before sinking into a deep slumber awaiting Santa’s visit. 

If you’re joining us for Christmas lunch, you’ll find an unforgettable feast to greet you – with both festive favourites and twists on the traditional, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste. 

Pier House

Just a hop, skip and jump from the Rashleigh Arms, and you’ll find the Pier House also sat on Charlestown’s harbourside. Watch the waves roll in and shelter from the bracing sea air in the comfort of our cosy rooms. Or, why not tick off a little of the South West Coast Path and explore along the seafront on a walk to Carlyon Bay? 

Sink into a seat beside the fire and begin the celebrations with a pint of Tribute or one of our festive cocktails – enjoy the perfect Christmas Eve tipple before the main festivities commence. 

Rose & Crown

Find a room at the inn at the Rose & Crown in Yealmpton this Christmas and retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to this little gem in this rural village in Devon’s South Hams. Decorated with rich textures and colours, the inn charms with a warmth that radiates from cosy nooks, deep sofas, and a roaring fire.
